Advent Zagreb: In Its Full Glory Again
This year Advent Zagreb will return to its former glory with an eventful programme, making holidays in Zagreb filled with wonderful atmosphere and many activities, interesting to all generations.
Advent in Zagreb has been voted the best in Europe by the readers from more than 150 countries at the European Best Destinations portal three years in a row. After reduced editions during the pandemic, it is back to take place from 26 November to 7 January with even more eventful programme and offer, adding new sites to the previously known.
At more than twenty sites, decorated for the occasion, interesting programmes adapted for children and adults will take place. There will be more than a hundred concerts of holiday and classical music as well as many exhibitions and shows dedicated to the holiday season. The first Advent candle on the Manduševac Fountain will be lit on 26 November at 17 o’clock, at the central Ban Josip Jelačić Square. Two hours later on the same day, an eye – catching ice rink will be opened at King Tomislav Square, and not long after lights will be lit at Zrinjevac Square, which is turning into one of the most romantic city destinations. New locations such as Grič Park, Old Vlaška Street and others will be added to the familiar Advent sites in the Upper and Lower Town. The Zagreb Zoo awaits everyone, but young visitors in particular, with its theme tours, educational activities and Christmas decoration workshops. Another attraction, Santa Clause’s Cabin, will also be available to visitors.
Museums and theatres of Zagreb will also add to the holiday spirit with attractive programmes.
All of this is just a part of this year’s Advent in Zagreb. Zagreb’s hoteliers, accommodation renters, caterers and traders are also preparing for it with interesting holiday offer.
