Jarun Lake: 16th Edition of INmusic in June!

The 16th edition of the INmusic festival brings world famous musicians to Zagreb and draws numerous fans of contemporary music with attractive programme.

From 24 to 26 June the INmusic festival #16, the largest open-air festival in Croatia, will draw numerous fans of electronic music from Europe and other parts of the world to Zagreb. As is tradition, the festival will take place at the Jarun Sports and Recreational Centre.

The festival earned the status of one of the best European music festivals with a long list of world-famous performers as well as with excellent organisation and atmosphere, which also brough praise from renowned world media.

A premiere of the Swedish post-punk band The National and Viagra Boys are scheduled for the first day of this year’s INmusic, followed by American punk-rock band The Gaslight Anthem. After last year’s brilliant performance, a renowned British post-punk duo Sleaford Mods returns to the INmusic festival. Deadletter, a new star in the London post-punk scene, will be the final performer on the first day of the festival.

The second day of the festival will be marked by a premiere of Hozier, one of the most popular, award-winning Irish folk, blues and rock musician. Singer-songwriter Paolo Nutini, a favourite Scottish musician, returns to Zagreb after almost an entire decade. On the same day, premieres of American indie rock band Gossip and alternative rock band Dogstar as well as Irish punk band Sprints are scheduled to take place on Jarun stages.

On the third and final day of this year’s INmusic festival, American band The Smashing Pumpkins is expected to perform in Zagreb for the first time. They boast an exceptional reputation as artists and are a welcome guest at the largest music festivals in the world. The impressive INmusic #16 lineup is also joined by a legendary Norwegian electro-pop duo Röyksopp. Concerts will be held by British indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club, British Nigerian octet Ibibio Sound Machine and a Mexican conceptual four -member band Descartes a Kant.

In addition to a rich and interesting additional programme, the INmusic festival also offers an opportunity to stay at the visitors’ camp which is unique in the world since it is located on two islands on Jarun Lake connected by a pontoon bridge. The camp will open on the noon of 21 June and become a home of several thousand visitors from around the world for a week.

Fans can also choose among a range of city hostels, hotels, and private accommodation units. A visit to Zagreb is also a chance to get to know the city and its rich cultural and historical, gastro and other services.
