The most wonderful time of the year has begun – lights illuminate the streets, everything is decorated for Christmas, fragrant, and filled with joy and laughter at every turn. During Advent, not only adults enjoy the festivities; the youngest visitors are especially delighted – they feel as if all their most magical dreams come true for an entire month.

With the first snowflakes, the city hinted at a true winter fairytale this year — the beginning of the famous Advent Zagreb. For years, it has been known as one of the most beautiful in Europe, but what gives it that special dose of magic isn’t only the lit-up squares and parks, the wooden stalls, or the scents of cinnamon, mulled wine, fritule, and homemade cakes.

The first snowfall came early this year! Zagreb woke up covered in a white layer of snow as early as November. Just in time, as the entire city prepares for Advent Zagreb. The Christmas festivities take place from 29 November to 7 January.
