Many for the Rare

"Kindness is a medicine" is an inspiring initiative launched at the start of 2024 by Josipa Ljubičić, the owner of Proqlea, a company deeply involved in clinical trials and pharmaceutical services. The initiative aims to make the latest drugs and therapies more accessible in Croatia and increase the number of clinical trials for rare diseases so that fewer patients seek treatment abroad.
On September 7, 2024, we're hosting an event called "Many for the Rare" at Jarun as part of the initiative. This event raises awareness among the general public about rare diagnoses and the needs of patients and their families. The event is a joint effort by the Croatian Alliance for Rare Diseases and Proqlea.
Visitors can expect a wide range of activities and programs:
- Beach volleyball tournament from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., organized by VC Don Bosco, featuring volleyball clubs from the city of Zagreb
- From 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., there will be activities by Red Noses Clowndoctors, Debra - Butterfly Children, the Strong as Jakov association, the Museum of Illusions, the "Respect Our Signs" police campaign, the Zagreb Fire Department (JVP Zagreb), the Retirees' Association of Zagreb, the World of Inflatables, public health actions Hunting the Silent Killer, Mission 70/26, and Do You Know Your Number?, and many others.
- Races for children at 16.30, retirees at 17.15, and a professional race at 17.00
- Concert at 7:00 p.m.
