Awaiting Easter: Holiday in Zagreb

As is tradition during Easter holiday, in Zagreb visitors will be met with a special cheer, visible in the city’s churches, streets and squares as well as hotels and restaurants. In addition to traditional religious services, a number of concerts of religious music will also take place in Zagreb’s churches.

The spirit of Easter will be present in the streets that are traditionally decorated with Easter symbols such as large Easter eggs, spring flowers and Easter-themed arrangements. A frequent choice of dessert is štrukli which can be savoury or sweet and also yeast dough pastries and strudels.
