Ivana Brlić Mažuranić was one of the most famous Croatian authors. She remains in fond memory of each and every Croat – her tales enriched our childhoods, awakened our imagination and brought forth wise morals which are to be remembered throughout our lifetimes, leading us through the challenges of adulthood, as well.

This walk commences on her ancestors, Ivan, Antun and Vladimir Mažuranić Square, moving towards the Upper Town and introducing you to the author’s childhood, girlhood in Agram, married life and motherhood and, ultimately, the tales that live in the hearts of all locals.
