Advent Zagreb: Let the Fairy Tale Begin!
Advent Zagreb, which won the title of the best Christmas market in Europe as many as three times, will this year make a step further in a beautiful holiday atmosphere.
There is a special reason for Zagreb to be added to the schedule of many of its citizens, as well as many tourists during Advent. This will be the case this year from 2 December to 7 January, even though the warm-up for what many call their favourite period of the year will begin several days earlier. When the city starts shining in full splendour, many spots in the Lower Town will be marked by Advent festivities. Each of them has a special story and ambience and together they offer entertaining activities which attract all generations with music and gastro offer.
In addition to already familiar or new programmes in Ban Josip Jelačić Square, European Square, Zrinjevac Park and J. J. Strossmayer Square, there are also new spots waiting for you. One of them is the new pedestrian zone in Masarykova Street. From 9 December, King Petar Svačić Square will also be marked by the spirit of Advent and the programme entitled Big, big Christmas. Elderly citizens will enjoy the Ball at Mažuranac programme as of 15 December in Mažuranić Square. For the first time, Advent festivities will spread to Ribnjak Park, offering programmes for children and adults.
Beautiful and creative Zagreb’s holiday story will continue in theatres, museums and galleries and be underlined by special offer in catering facilities, stores and hotels.
