Global Extravaganzas on Stage in Zagreb - Top Artists For A Top Night Out

The world renowned Cirque du Soleil is coming to Zagreb Arena! From 7 to 9 December they are appearing with the show Toruk – The First Flight, inspired by the film Avatar directed by James Cameron. Through an amazing combination of the latest visual effects, puppetry, theatrical elements and magnificent set design, and on the foundations of a huge cinema hit, Cirque du Soleil brings to life James Cameron’s fantastic imaginary world in its unique way, bringing together their shared artistic visions into a single spectacle which sparks the imagination.

Italian pop opera trio Il Volo are also performing in Zagreb Arena on 21 December. They are considered the heirs of the Three Tenors; they have achieved great success on all continents, their albums have been sold in 50 countries and their concerts are sold out in advance.

Piaf! The Show arrives on 15 December at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, celebrating the life of the legendary Edith Piaf. The show premiered in 2015, it stars Anne Carrere, a young French artist who has been called “the only legitimate heir to Edith Piaf” and is directed by Gil Marsalla. The show is inspired by the award-winning film La Vie En Rose. The story of the Parisian diva is told in two acts, with performances of her unforgettable hits alongside wonderful sets and video projections.

An explosion of artistic passion on 7 December in the Vatrolav Lisinski Concert Hall brings us La Fura dels Baus with a performance Free Bach 212. This theatre troupe from Barcelona has been conquering the world with its unique vision of theatre since 1979. Unquenchable curiosity, a brave exploratory spirit and the most up-to-date technologies in set design are all part of the great “Fura” creative workshop. Free Bach is a free interpretation of the Peasant Cantata (Bauernkantate) BWV 212 written by Johann Sebastian Bach in 1742
