A New Cycle of Great Exhibits Starts

In April the Klovićeva Dvori Gallery will continue its cultural project of presenting the regions of Croatia with the exhibit “Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem”. This project was begun last year with the exhibit “Dalmatian Zagora – Unknown Land”, which was on display for longer than planned due to the public's great interest.

After the exceptionally well attended exhibit of German expressionists, “Quiet Rebellion”, at the Klovićeva Dvori Gallery, this year will continue with a new cycle of great exhibits. Already in April we will see the opening of the exhibit “Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem”, a continuation of the cultural project presenting the regions of Croatia. The realization of this project started last year with the organization of the first in the series of exhibits, “Dalmatian Zagora – Unknown Land”, which was on display for longer than planned due to the public's great interest.

As with the previous exhibit, “Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem” will take you on a journey through time and space and the different areas of creativity, from prehistoric times to modern day and it will encompass examples of the region’s culture, traditional architecture, housing, customs and habits, etc. This exhibit will present the characteristics of the villages, the development of crafts and the general way of life and social climate in the entire region. In addition to the displayed objects, the entire exhibit will be accompanied by computer simulations and virtual tours of villages and objects, in which the visitors will gain insight into the way people used to live in Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem. A great number of competent historians, archeologists, ethnologists, etc., also contributed to the preparation of this very demanding exhibit, which is a joint project between the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia and the Klovićeva Dvori Gallery.
