Festival of Urban Culture

Some fifty domestic as well as foreign performers of electronic and rock music will appear in Zagreb between the 19th and 21st of June, at a festival of urban culture, “Ideš 2009”. Soon afterwards, the biggest open air festival in Croatia, the T-Mobile In-Music Festival, will be held at Jarun Lake.

Between the 19th and 21st of June, a festival of urban culture, “Ideš 2009”, will be held on the Sava embankment. Some fifty performers of electronic and rock music from Croatia as well as abroad will play on two stages while, in the framework of the festival, various sporting competitions will also be organized. In the intervals between music performances, competitions in sports such as skateboarding, inline-rollerblading and biking will take place under artificial lights. During the day, a school will be offered to all beginners who wish to give these sports a try. A three day ticket-pass to the festival will cost between 40 and 80 kuna.

We would also like to remind you that the largest Croatian open air festival, the T-Mobile IN-Music Festival, will take place on Youth Island at Jarun Lake on the 24th and 25th of June. This year, various performers will play on five stages. Apart from a bigger line-up of performers, the festival will offer even more spectacular stage-shows and visual effects than the year before. For the first time, this year’s T-Mobile IN-Music Festival will also feature several heavy-metal bands. The many performers who have announced their arrival include the German cult electronic band Kraftwerk; the Scottish band Franz Ferdinand; Art Brut, one of the most promising young bands on the British indie scene; the very talented and one of the most significant contemporary music authors, Moby; and the British pop-rock sensation, Lilly Allen.
