Owing to independent work and being active in the band, their leader André Reyes is today one of the most well-known and renowned representatives of flamenco rumba.
In the late 1970s brothers André and Nicolas Reyes formed the Gipsy Kings and soon became artists with global recognition whose eponymous album, released in 1989, topped the charts in Europe, America and Middle East.
In 2014 the Gipsy Kings split into two groups headed by two brothers.
The guitarist and lead singer André Reyes, who was later joined by esteemed musicians Mario Reyes and Chico Castillo, continues his career by performing the greatest hits of the Gipsy Kings which the Zagreb audience will get a chance to enjoy in February next year.
