Theatre Night: For Fans of Performative Arts and Those Who Are Yet to Become One
The Theatre Night is a time when performative artists return the favour to their loyal audience with shows free of charge, but at the same time they invite those who are about to encounter the theatre world and its inspirational messages for the first time.
The Theatre Night is an annual event that takes place on the third Saturday in November. This year it will take place on 25 November. On this day from morning until late in the evening, city and state theatre houses, independent theatres, culture centres, but also kindergartens, elementary schools and grammar schools in Zagreb will open their doors, offering theatrical and other programmes. This is a chance for citizens and visitors of Zagreb to find out more about institutional as well as alternative theatre scene.
The common goal of all these shows, which are free of charge or available at promotional ticket prices, is to establish a dialogue between audience and artists, but also to attract those who are yet to discover this interesting, creative and inspirational world.
This one -day event has been established fifteen years ago in Zagreb’s neighbourhood Dubrava, mimicking the European Theatre Night taking place in several European countries, and it takes place throughout Croatia.
