A place in the prestigious Louis Vuitton City Guide 2012
The prestigious Louis Vuitton City Guide has included Zagreb in this year’s luxurious edition of European travel guides. On as many as 40 pages it provides recommendations as to what to see and do in Zagreb.
The prestigious Louis Vuitton City Guide 2012 has included Zagreb in its 13th consecutive edition of luxurious European city guides. The guide offers its readers tips on must-visit exclusive restaurants, bars, shops, museums and galleries. The guide comprises a total of nine booklets, featuring 31 popular cities in Europe and provides over seven thousand addresses to its readers.
Unique for this type of publication, instead of the customary photos of the cities, the guide is illustrated by the well known Cuban illustrator, painter and sculptor, Ruben Toledo. By way of introduction, the Zagreb Guide offers an interview with Veljko Marton, Zagreb’s collector of the finest porcelain and the owner of the eponymous private museum located in the Upper Town. Marton imparts his tips on hotels, restaurants, café bars and bars, designer shops, museums and parks they should not miss during their stay in Zagreb. The information on Zagreb spans a total of 40 pages, and features such highlights as Dolac Market, the British Square, the Meštrović Atelier and Zagreb’s pedestrian city centre, as well as the must-try speciality štrukle.
