An Explosion of Colour and Celebration of Movement on Zagreb’s Jarun Lake – Rog Holi Run & Fest
The Rog Holi Run and Fest! For the first time in Croatia on 13 May 2017 from 3 pm there will be a running and roller-blading race at Zagreb's Jarun lake and a big DJ party in the arena at the finish line.
The race, which is founded on the tagline “Let's celebrate movement”, has no competitive elements and is not timed, therefore by definition everyone who takes part is a winner. And it's being held for the first time in Zagreb. At the Rog Holi Run & Fest movement and equality will be celebrated and the idea is to inspire people to move despite their limitations in doing so.
The whole event will be brought to vivid life with colours which the participants will pour along the whole length of the race track and which will bring added warmth to the atmosphere. On the four kilometres of the race track the competitors will find four stations with a variety of Holi colours. Holi colours are famous due to the Indian festival which marks the end of winter and welcomes the coming of spring. They are completely natural and do not harm the environment while being exceptionally attractive in all kinds of celebrations.
At the end of the race all participants can join in a big DJ party with Vanillaz and Kosta Radman as well as a variety of entertainments and a food and drink corner. This is an event which will see Zagreb join other capital cities around the world known for their colourful races.
Tickets for the race and the party, costing 50 kuna, can be bought online from Entrio.
