Festival of Satire and Humor
The traditional festival of the best satirical and humoristic theater plays, the Days of Satire, will be held between the 5th and 19th of June at Zagreb’s Satiric Theater Kerempuh. The festival will take place for the 33rd time this year.
Between the 5th and 19th of June, the 33rd Days of Satire will take place at Zagreb’s Satiric Theater Kerempuh. This is a traditional festival which presents the best satiric and humoristic plays from Croatia and abroad.
The official selection of this year’s festival includes a total of eleven plays presented by domestic taters; the Croatian National Theater in Split, the Šibenik Theater, the Croatian National Theater in Osijek, the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka, the Zagreb Youth Theater, Zagreb’s Komedija Theater, the Trešnja Theater, the Moruzgva Theater, the Gavella Theater of Drama, and the Satiric Theater Kerempuh; while two foreign plays will be performed by the Belgrade Theater of Drama and the Slovenian National Theater from Maribor.
The Days of Satire have been taking place every year since 1976, and this year’s edition is dedicated to the works by Russian writer Aleksandar Nikolajevič Ostrovski.
