Musical Broadway at Lisinski
This year’s traditional holiday atmosphere will be complemented by a great musical event, “Musical Broadway – Best Of”, in which sections of the legendary, world-famous Broadway musicals will be presented to the Zagreb audience on December 13th, at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall.
On December 13th, the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall will be the venue for a great musical spectacle, “Musical Broadway – Best Of”, in which an ensemble of 40 dancers and singers will perform parts from six of the most famous Broadway musicals; “Hair”, “Cats”, “Cabaret”, “Chicago”, “Dance of the Vampires”, and “Singing in the Rain”.
The Zagreb audience will have an opportunity to enjoy some of the most famous pieces by greats such as Andrew Lloyd Webber, Roman Polanski, Harold Prince, and Frank Sinatra, to remind themselves of the reasons for the undying popularity of these shows. All of the aforementioned musicals broke attendance records of their time, and are considered some of the greatest Broadway successes ever, most of which have been successfully adapted to film.
The spectacle will be accompanied by a large orchestra and the audience will, undoubtedly, enjoy exquisite choreographies, set design, and costumes, as well as an array of legendary pieces such as “Memories”, “Let the Sunshine In”, “Aquarius”, “Singin' in the Rain”… The show will be divided into six parts, each of which will present one legendary musical, allowing the audience to experience the best of the best Broadway shows, all in one night.
The show will last for two hours and it will be performed entirely in the English language. Since there is already great interest, organizers have recently decided that Best of Broadway will be performed twice, the first one starting at 5.30 p.m. and the other at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.eventime.hr or at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall box office; the price ranges between 200 and 260 Kuna.
