Artists descend upon the city's streets again
Street singers, dancers, performers and actors from more than 30 countries around the world will participate in this year's street festival Cest is d'Best. From June 4th to 14th, they will bring a spark to the squares and streets in the city center and attract a number of tourists.
Street entertainers, performers, actors from alternative theaters and various other artists from more than 30 countries around the world will entertain the public at this year's street festival Cest is d'Best. The 13th festival will take place from June 4th to 14th on the squares and streets in the city center. The entire event will include a handful of entertaining contents, silly programs and even “wacky” sports competitions, in which tourists can join Zagreb's citizens for a bit of fun and entertainment. Due to its attractiveness, the Cest is d'Best street festival has quickly drawn international attention, and therefore artists come from all the continents around the world to participate.
The festival's organizer, the Association of Street Entertainers “Cestagram”, have some novelties in store as of this year. Two tenders have been announced within the scope of the festival. One is for the first festival of banners which will be based on the theme “The Street and I”, and the other is for the creation of an urban installation in the city of Zagreb. The first Cest is d'Best festival was organized in 1997. Ever since, it has attracted huge audiences and improved the tourism offer of the city. The festival brings an additional spark to the streets of Zagreb, which serve as the stages of various cultural and entertainment events throughout most of the year.
